FILM
ARTISTS NETWORK MARKETING & SALES PLAN
Film Artists
Network (also known as FAN) accepts
completed films for the 2010 CANNES
Film
Market.
The filmmaker will receive 91% of all sales generated
by their product though the duration of the Market and 100% after the
market. The remaining (9%)
will be donated to FAN, (a non-profit organization).
The
filmmaker retains 100% of their exclusive rights and approves
any deal for their product offered at the Market. Our marketing and sales plan is guaranteed educational,
participatory and a great opportunity for a person with a completed
saleable film or project. This plan has proven it self for the last
14 years. Participating
filmmakers from the past markets have achieved a lot of success and loved
this program. They were always able to maintained full control over their
projects or titles, adapted valuable knowledge, made important contacts,
received professional support. Each filmmaker will be invited to attend training and education
session with hands on information on how marketing and sales really work.
There will be sessions scheduled before and after the Market. In addition it gives you the opportunity (if
you want) to participate in a partly do-it-your self-program to learn
how film marketing and sales work by helping promoting your own project or
title. Note: to receive this included program you have to be present at
the market. FAN has been holding it’s annual sales booth (office) at the
Cannes market for FOURTEEN
consecutive years. NOTE: This plan is also for Film Makers that cannot or do not want
to attend in person. They will receive all full services that are
applicable. Further included is a "Trailer Of Trailers" reel of
features – (only if submitted in time and in a usable format) that will
be played continuously for potential buyers throughout the Market. We will also display one of each film's poster (for CANNES poster size has to be
22''X28”) and up to 100 copies of flyers (per film
title, THEY HAVE TO MEET FAN’s STANDARD, OTHERWISE THEY CAN MISS
REPRESENT YOUR TITLE IN A NEGATIVE WAY). The filmmaker provides a usable
trailer, posters and flyers of their Title.
If the filmmaker does not have marketing tools like a trailer, posters and flyers of their Title, FAN can help, assist
and provide highly discounted services in creating these marketing tools. FAN
has resources with discounted rates for Graphic
Designers, editors and Print shops etc. Participating Filmmakers will receive access to the attending
buyers’ list and copies of business cards collected at the Market. They
will also receive copies of any contracts completed in reference to their
product at the Market, with no information blacked-out. Short film
